This place is about to blow.
#the way loki looks at him #like he’s just realized he’s created someone who will actually give a damn about him #because no one else would worry about his safety like this #and barton does to the point that he’ll interrupt loki which is something most people don’t dare do #I think this is the moment where loki realizes just how valuable of an agent he’s snagged
I just felt the need to reblog with my own tags because I have so many feels about their relationship it’s not even funny. And through RP I’ve come to realize just how much Clint and Loki have in common—both coming from a family that didn’t want them, both looked down on and possibly hated at times by their brothers. Clint found recognition in the world by becoming good at something that was just a gimmick in the beginning, shooting perfect targets for a carnival, and later he realizes that his mentor—the one person he thought he could trust—was grooming him to be a thief instead, to break the law in every way he could imagine. It reminds me of how Loki lived his entire life thinking he was an Asgardian prince only to discover he’s ‘the monster’ instead, that it had all been a lie, and I think they both have a moment in their lives where they change completely and embrace the truth instead of the lie.
Okay done now. SORRY ABOUT THAT.
Absolutely agree with this. I’m not on board for a pairing, but I definitely agree in terms of camaraderie or empathy for them both in this one moment. I think that was why I was sort of rooting for Clint working alongside Loki (and actually appreciate and LOVE) reading fanfics where these two actually work together or see eye to eye.
